Thus, if you invite me over to your place I'll likely arrive by taxi, Lyft, or Uber.

I don't usually ask for any additional for coming to your place; asking for "extra" kind of weirds me out.

But taxi and ride share sevices do cost .

If you are so inclined, I won't be offended if you offer to subsidize that expense.
